New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning plans to play in Saturday’s preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens.
Manning suffered a huge gash on his head during his team’s first preseson game against the New York Jets.
Blood immediately began spilling from his head and he quickly headed off the field and into the locker room.
He did not return to the game and received 12 stitches. The good news is that he did not suffer a concussion. (Read More…)

The New York Giants have signed Pro Bowl guard Shawn Andrews to a one-year contract. Terms were not disclosed.
Andrews, formerly of the Philadelphia Eagles, will get a chance to beat up on his former team twice this season.
He was released by the Eagles because of constant battles with a back injury as well as depression.
Talent was never a question, but Andrews had trouble staying on the field because of injuries and off-the-field issues. (Read More…)

New York Giants safety Kenny Phillips finally returned to practice after missing football for the past 11 months.
The team’s star safety missed all of last season after undergoing microfracture surgery on his left knee in September.
The loss of Phillips was a big reason why the Giants defense struggled so much and the team failed to make the playoffs.
While Phillips has returned to practice, head coach Tom Coughlin is going to bring him along slowly. (Read More…)
